Grapefruit Catalyzes Fat Burn — Page 55In 1979, Dr. Herman Tarnower published his Scarsdale Medical Diet. Allowing only 1,000 calories per day—43% protein, 22.5% fat, and 34.5% carbs—it was unsustainable by most who tried it and was judged to have serious negative health effects by the medical community. Suggested by Tarnower was a grapefruit for breakfast, and that's something I find catalyzes the weight loss process and contributes phytonutrients to the Nutritional Sphere. That little bit of insight on his part, survives, even though Dr. Tarnower does not. He was murdered in 1980 just days before his 70th birthday by his long-term lover who was jealous that he was also having an affair with his secretary. Is grapefruit an aphrodisiac? Just asking. Some of the most important nutritional elements of any fruit or vegetable are attached to the skin and membranes. Eat all the grapefruit, except the rind. Warning: Grapefruit will diminish the potency of some prescription drugs. If you're taking medications, consult your pharmacist or medical professional before eating grapefruit. |
