In Nutritional Leverage, I labeled the photo on the left October 15, 2012. I subsequently discovered it was taken earlier that year, in March. I had thoroughly enjoyed a large, corned beef sandwich and French fries for brunch at a Lake Worth, Florida deli with my long-time grad school buddy, Don. To say I hadn't lost any weight between then and October is an understatement. I was fearlessly in a period of gluttony and likely had put on a pound or two before my epiphany. As a representation of my size at the time I began the Nutritional Leverage plan, it is accurate as labeled.

On the right, my niece's wedding in March 2013, 151 days and 50 lbs./23 kg after engaging Nutritional Leverage. The fat I lost was inside as well as out. As important as my appearance, I felt better and had more energy. Simply, I was enjoying life again.
